Medina Golf & Country Club

Today the Medina Golf & Country Club got the beginning of the face-lift. I designed some cool wall creations (haven't done these in quite some time) using an array of permanent flowers on top of Manzanita branches. They were finished off with Lady Amhurst pheasant feathers.

The ivy on top of the book cabinet is silk ivy with silk vines worked in to look like real ivy & vines. The reception desk got a nice arrangement in place of the"country styled" wreath. (Cute, but not for a country club!)

On the family room coffee table we filled a tin square container with a variety of interesting gourds, natural material balls & spheres.

Meridian's Flowers

These are the flowers I designed for one of my favorite clients who owns a high-end clothing boutique in Excelsior, Minnesota called Meridian. Christine Kuhns, owner, has impeccable taste and a love for simple elegance.

Event in Nebraska! Offutt Air Force Base Air Show.
It has been many years since I attended a true military air show. All I can say is the USA is awesome, in the finest sense of the word. The Thunderbirds were amazing, as well as the A-6 attack planes, the B-52 bombers, and so much more.

Interview Link:

The interview with Cyndy Brucato was taped yesterday and aired today. I am hoping to get Christopher, my webmaster to load this to the website.
In the mean time, if you want to check out the story,

Here's the link

Notice the cute summer arrangement I designed in a bowl that my daughter, Kate made in ceramics. She is so talented! I love hand thrown stoneware!

Cyndy Brucato Interview

I am being interviewed on Tuesday by the legendary news anchor, now working in Minneapolis' KSTP station. She read the newspaper article from the Star Tribune last week and thought it could be an interesting interview.

Twin Cities Live, flower choices

OK, so I ventured around, asked friends & family if I could snip some flowers in order to do a TV flower arranging segment. Amazing, everybody wants their lovely flowers to be famous. So, I was able to gather some purple hydrangea, some red, yellow & orange Gerbera daisies, some green dahlias, some cool greenery with red going through it (I think it's a kind of hasta), some poppy pods, (ok, I cheated with these, but I'm sure Heather would have let me grab some from her yard in Park City if I asked.) Anyhow, the colors are fabulous, and I think the arrangements will be cheery & definately colorful.

Twin Cities Live, Tuesday August 5, 2008

Well, the lovely article written for the Minneapolis Star Tribune prompted the producer of the new afternoon television show, Twin Cities Live to give me a call. They have asked me to demonstrate how to put an arrangement together. Interestingly, they asked me to do three, >>and they also want me to use flowers found in my yard and garden. I told her that my garden consisted of the best tomatoes west of the Mississippi, and my weeds, the biggest! Of course, I am hoping that they won't freak if I purchase some local flowers to design with. I have a few green zinnias, and hopefully the cosmos and gladiolas will be blooming by Tuesday.

Funny thing is, this network actually did a segment with me on a previous show back in 1992. I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with my daughter, Kate. I was wearing an orange maternity outfit, and must have looked like the great pumpkin! They may try to embarrass the heck out of my by playing a clip from that segment. (hopefully not!!!)
